Hierarchy and recruitment in Panser Galter Drott.
There is a certain hierarchy followed within the group:- Jarl - formation commander.
- Hoevding - 2nd in command, when the formation commander is absent (assigned before every rally or festival).
- Hirdmann/Mistress/Craftsman - free person, a full member of PDG.
- Thrael - a slave, obliged to execute orders from higher ranks.
- Candidate - a person, who is applying to join the group, with the same rights as Thrale.
- Honour Hirdmann - someone meritorious, not being formally in the formation, but welcome at every rally, festival or training.
2. Every new member must obtain the status of Candidate.
3. During the candidature period, everyone interested must prove themselves with engagement, lust for knowledge and skills.
4. After the candidature period, every person interested should speak with the group about his demands, willingness and plans about their activity within the group.
5. After the candidature period, the new member becomes a Thrale. In this time they are obligated to provide ESSENTIAL equipment to go on rallies (E.g. outfits). They should also start completing their equipment in order to fight in battles and also attend craftsmanship. During this period , the person should be present on trainings as often as possible and be interested in PGD's news. During rallies they should take care for the group camp and perform higher ranked orders.
6. If, after a few rallies the commander and the rest of the group see the Thrale's development and they have most of the essential equipment collected, they can become a hirdmann, craftsman or mistress and become a full righted member of PGD.
7. A free man should be an example for people from their own group or from other groups and allies. They should aim at developing their skills and knowledge. They are obliged to share their knowledge and skills with the lesser experienced colleagues. They have to remember, that they represent their group and should behave suitably. Every single hirdmann can be put in a situation, when they have to take control over the group, when there is no one of higher rank around.
8. The decision about dismissing a member can only be made by the Jarl and the decision is irrevocable. There is no chance of return for a person, who had left the group.
9. Jarl and the other members of the PGD make the decisions about accepting someone as a group member.
10. The group status is irrefutable and there is no discussion allowed about its terms.
